What should we know about you?
I am Cuban, 100%, as Orisha’s song says I’m coming from where there is river, tobacco and sugar cane plantation. Family is my top priority. I am very friendly and open minded, I love sharing with family and friends. I love industry and its processes in general. Looking for problem solving, improvement and reliability: to me where there is a problem there is a great opportunity.
What do you like about beer?
I am a beer lover, I love all beer processing from the crop to customer satisfaction; tasting a balanced beer, with a flawless foam and attractive color is the glory! Beer is life, history and identity. Cheers!
What do you love about Trellis?
Its history. Just as its name describes: to have the strongest and deepest roots (family and friends), to grow despite of the obstacles and challenges (day to day), to do strong bonds that will keep us up (colleagues and suppliers) and to create the best products of the world (satisfied customers).

What should we know about you?
I’m big on art, music, and creating, whether that’s designing, drawing, or digging for new sounds. I love exploring how things work, where they come from, and pulling inspiration from all over.
What do you like about beer?
Beer is creative. It’s a mix of craft and science, but also culture, it brings people together in a way that’s relaxed, fun, and connected. I like how different ingredients or approaches can completely change the experience, and how a beer can tell a story about a place, a season, or a group of people who made it.
What do you love about Trellis?
I love that Trellis feels like more than a brewery, it’s a community spot filled with energy, art, music, and smiling people. For me, it’s exciting to get to blend the creative side (labels, merch, design work) with the day-to-day of working behind the bar. It keeps things fresh, connected, and helps me stay grounded in what we’re building here.

What should we know about you?
I’ve been a dancer most of my life and I’m a photographer and artist! I’m also currently creating a podcast about Iranian women focusing on their bravery, passion, and how they honor and stay connected to their ancestry. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with my ethnicity and to learn more about Iran’s history.
What do you like about beer?
I love the community and friendships it creates! I’ve made some of my closest friendships through the beer community.
What do you love about Trellis?
The sustainability in the brewing process. I also love the unique location, space, and gardens. It’s so open and leaves so much opportunity for gatherings and collaboration in the community.

I love traveling and exploring new places, I have a big interest in real estate, and I’m a huge dog person. And fair warning—I can probably beat you in Pickleball.
What do you like about beer?
Beer is like the ultimate social glue—it brings people together, sparks good conversations, and there’s always a new flavor or style to discover. Plus, nothing beats that first sip after a longggg day.
What do you love about Trellis?
I love the vibe here—it feels like a place where friends, old and new, come to hang out and enjoy themselves. I get to share beers I’m excited about, swap stories with people at the bar, and be part of the community that makes Trellis special.

STEPHEN EMMONS

What should we know about you?
I'm a Kentucky-born Navy veteran with more than 20 years in the hospitality industry. I've worked everything from neighborhood dive bars and craft cocktail programs to large-scale festivals, concerts, sporting events, and VIP experiences across the country. I love creating memorable guest experiences, solving problems on the fly, and bringing people together over great drinks and great conversation. When I'm not behind a bar, you'll usually find me exploring new places, spending time with my dogs in my jeep, or planning my next adventure.
What do you like about beer?
Beer has an incredible ability to bring people together. I enjoy the creativity behind brewing, the variety of styles, and the stories each beer tells about the people and places that made it. Whether it's a perfectly balanced lager, a bold stout, or an experimental seasonal release, there's always something new to learn and appreciate.
What do you love about Trellis?
I love that Trellis is passionate about both quality and community. It's a place that values craftsmanship, creativity, and genuine connections with guests. Trellis creates an environment where people can discover new beers, share experiences, and feel welcome, which is exactly what great hospitality should be about.

What should we know about you?
Howdy, I’m Zak.
I enjoy the great outdoors, playing with my dog Maggie (pictured), traveling, journaling, and listening to Sabrina Carpenter.
What's your favorite thing about beer?
I like learning about the history of beer, why certain styles have more hops, why it’s not considered alcohol in some countries, why monks and beer have a strong correlation.
It’s a drink that’s thousands of years old that we are still enjoying today. I like it almost as much as I like listening to Sabrina Carpenter.

What should we know about you?
I am a transplant from the Appalachian mountains of Virginia with 23 years in the restaurant industry and am an accomplished chef and butcher. I have worked with several incredibly talented chefs in our region. I spend most of my time with my dog Mabel- staying in with books and movies and video games but has an equal if not greater love for the outdoors and can be found fishing, hiking, camping, and of course road-tripping in the warmer months.
What do you like about beer/food?
I do not partake in our libations though I share the love of gathering with friends and colleagues in celebration.
Food for me is a language of love and no matter your background it's a common denominator that we all share. Now more than ever it is extremely important to understand the sourcing and the processes of which your food goes through to reach your table. Given my background, I am committed to sourcing and providing the best quality ingredients as possible.
What do you love about Trellis?
I love Trellis for the energy and the kindness that everyone displays. Everyone is so knowledgeable, friendly and intelligent. Good vibes all around!

What should we know about you?
I’ve spent my whole adult life in the service industry; I’ve been so lucky to call some really special breweries and kitchens in some really special cities home. The folks I’ve met and connected with in those places are as close as family. These places and people have shaped what community means to me and have created spaces where I could be an authentic version of myself; I’m always trying to give that back where I can.
I spend most of my time with my doggo Frankie, playing guitar, reading, cooking/baking, and trail-running.
What do you like about beer/food?
I’m a huge history nerd and am super interested in the cultural context and histories of both beer and food. Food is a connection point; it’s something we all have to do. I love learning how different folks across different spaces and times have shared in the responsibility of keeping each other fed and nourished. Both bars and restaurants were community gathering spaces before they were really businesses (as they exist today, anyway) and I love local breweries and neighborhood bars and grub spots because I think they tend to still serve that really important role.
What do you love about Trellis?
There is such care that goes into every part of the brewery; from ingredient selection to the brewing process and set-up to the kind of space that the brewery is.

What should we know about you?
I’m relatively new to the beer world and excited to keep learning! I’m originally from the Louisville area but spent the last few years away, so I’m thrilled to be back and experiencing the city through a new lens. When I’m not exploring local spots, you can usually find me hanging out with my two cats, Mojo and Ziggy.
What do you like about beer?
I love discovering the wide variety of beer styles and figuring out what I enjoy (and what I don’t). More than that, I appreciate the sense of community beer creates—there’s something special about sharing a great beer and good conversation at the end of the day.
What do you like about Trellis?
The welcoming atmosphere is what drew me to Trellis. It’s a place where everyone can feel at home, whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just stopping by for a bite. There’s truly something for everyone, and it never hurts that there are usually a few adorable dogs around, too!

What should we know about you?
I’m a Sagittarius with a big heart, a love for adventure, and a deep loyalty to the people and things I care about most. I’m a private chef by trade, and my happiest moments are spent cooking great food, making memories with my kids, and hanging out with my dog. Life has thrown plenty of challenges my way, but I’ve always believed in pushing forward and turning those experiences into something meaningful.
What do you like about beer?
I appreciate beer the same way I appreciate food—it brings people together. I love the creativity behind it, the craftsmanship that goes into every pint, and the way a great beer can elevate a meal, a conversation, or a shared experience.
